Because he was a deserter, the Fire Lord (in this case, it would have been Azulon) ordered that Jeong Jeong's military service record be wiped clean so that his act of treason would be the only thing that anyone could ever talk about since it would be the only thing that history would remember.  This was just based off of a sad dream I had where Jeong Jeong was talking to someone (Iroh, I think) about how disappointed he was that Azulon didn't have the guts to let his record stand so that people could see all of his accomplishments.  He was ranting about how Azulon was a coward and had succumb to savagery or something.  I kinda felt sorry for the guy. ;_;

Every time I wake up from one of these dreams, I always have to play the scenario out in my head.  I guess that's just the fanfic writer in me.  And I watch a lot of Law & Order (the original, mostly).  A lot of my inspiration comes from Law & Order which is weird when you consider that I don't write L&O fan fiction (and I never have).  But it's fun, when working with plot bunnies for Avatar, to ask the question: "What would Jack McCoy Do?"  And by Jack McCoy, I mean Master Piandao. ::b Just kidding, Fandom...maybe.

Then it hit me like Drunk Appa!  If one couldn't get access to the details of Jeong Jeong's military service--his victories, his conquests, his strategic plans, his campaigns and so forth, then all one would have to do is fetch his criminal record from the Earth Kingdom.  I'm sure the EK has been keeping track of what those warmongering FN generals did to their kingdom. So all of Jeong Jeong's conquests, his military campaigns, his sieges--his "war crimes" against the Earth Kingdom would be documented and could be used to piece together the missing portions of his service record.

Heh...  I had to figure this out before I could go back to sleep. >_<  It really bothered me for some strange reason.

Hi, is it just me or every time I try to go to Piandao.org it tells me that it is Coming Soon? Just wondering because I would love to see it.
